The Chapel

About the Chapel Service

The Chapel provides a place for families and friends to explore faith and share life-marking occasions. The Chapel service includes liturgical elements, hymns, and communion every week.

In this service, we embrace the beauty and depth of ancient rhythms while fully worshiping in the freedom of Christ. It is our hope that you will find worship here to be deeply meaningful in your own life and in your connection to the historical and global Church.

Service on Sundays at 9:30 am

Liturgical Element Examples

Call to Worship

All: Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness; come before Him with joyful songs, know that the Lord is God. It is He who made us, and we are His; we are His people, the sheep of His pasture. Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and praise His name. For the Lord is good and His love endures forever; His faithfulness continues through all generations.

Affirmation of Faith

All: I believe in God, the Father Almighty, creator of heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; He descended to the dead. On the third day, He rose again; He ascended into heaven, is seated at the right hand of the Father, and will come again to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy universal church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

Prayer of Confession

Celebrant: Almighty God, since You delay with so much forbearance the punishments which we have deserved and daily draw on ourselves, grant that we may not indulge ourselves, but carefully consider how often and in how many different ways we have provoked Your wrath against us. May we learn humbly to present ourselves to You for pardon, and with true repentance implore Your mercy. With all our heart we desire to submit ourselves to You, whether You chastise us, or according to Your infinite goodness, forgive us. Let our condition be ever blessed, not by flattering ourselves in our apathy, but by finding You to be our kind and bountiful Father, reconciled to us in Your only-begotten Son. Amen.

Assurance of Pardon

Celebrant: Seek the LORD while He may be found; call on Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way and the evil man his thoughts. Let him turn to the LORD, and He will have mercy on him, and to our God, for He will freely pardon. “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways,” declares the LORD. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts.” - Isaiah 55:6-9

Passing of the Peace

Celebrant: May the peace of Christ be with you.
All: And also with you.
Celebrant: Let us offer one another signs of peace.

Benediction

Celebrant: For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. - Romans 8:38-39
